Wood carving craftsmanship at our place has been brought down from generation
to generation. The process starts right from the way we have selected
the wood that could serve us to the best. Each plank available would then
be carefully calculated; a certain number of products wold be figured
out while those small pieces left would be minimized. As for each piece
of work, it verifies the imagination of the carver so well. Prime sources
are teakwood and rosewood.
Different shapes of chisel are applied. Bigger ones are used to make rough
figure while smaller ones are used for certain details like wrinkles and
creases. Once the carving work is finished, some non-toxic coating substances
are applied all over. This could help not only make the product more beautiful,
but also keep it away from some insects.
